Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner

Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner

So, being a night shift nurse, I see A LOT of infomercials...

Anyone ever seen the one for Wen Hair Care? It's marketed as sort of a one-step shampoo/conditioner that will change your hair foreverrrrrrr.

Well, I am always skeptical of hair products when the "with regular shampoo" shot the woman has on no makeup, ugly clothes, and they've made absolutely no attempt at styling her hair. While the "with our product" shot she's beautifully done up, hair's styled to perfection, and they've changed her clothes..oh, and allowed her to smile.

Anyway, the Wen stuff is pricey, and rarely do I do pricey. So, I was intrigued when I saw the Herbal Essences product at Target.

First of all, smells AMAZING! They describe it as a "mint fusion" smell, but it is so much more than that. I catch myself smelling the ends of my hair throughout the day. And, it's not too girly so my husband likes to use it too :) Another good thing is that it is sulfate-free, so if your hair is colored, it won't fade as fast as with regular shampoo and conditioner.
To use it: 3 pumps for short/medium hair, 4 pumps for long hair. Massage to the scalp and through to the ends. It does NOT lather! Leave it in for a while and rinse. The only negative to this was that I found I really had to work at rinsing it all out. Make sure to check your roots for any oiliness before stepping out of the shower.

I have to say I was so impressed that my hair looked so clean. My hair is so fine that usually I can't use heavy conditioners or oily products. It didn't look or feel weighed down at all. I would say that I wouldn't use it every time I shampoo my hair, just in case it did weigh it down with repeated use.

Would I repurchase: Yes.
Cost: about $6 (comes in a 16.9 ounce bottle--with a pump!)
